Unbridled was created in 2003, by life-long horse lover Susan Kayne. Her creative vision for Unbridled is to utilize mainstream media to share with others, all of the joys that come from developing holistic relationships between horses and humans.
At the heart of Unbridled is the creation of original content which results in a better quality of life for horses and the people who love them. In its first season, Unbridled earned the coveted Broadcast Media Excellence Award from the US Equestrian Federation.
SUSAN KAYNE, Creator, Host & Executive Producer. Horses, media, marketing and PR are a constant in Susan's life...each in a way to forward the mission of Unbridled to make a better life for each horse on earth. Susan was active in the show ring for many years, and now manages Unbridled Racing Stable in addition to producing Unbridled TV.
Behind the scenes of Unbridled TV, Susan manages to ride her horses’ every day, keep up with the constant flow of phone calls and emails, produce and host a television show, and still have time to play with her four loving cats who basically live on her computer desk! Susan is dedicated to bring about a better future for both horses and humans on the only planet we were given.
RACHEL CARTER, Editor & Writer. Rachel is an animal rights activist whose writing and influence is in every piece on the Unbridled website. She edits all of our material before it is made public. Rachel is a student at SUNY Empire State College. When Rachel isn’t busy with her schoolwork and Unbridled work, she can be found volunteering. She is active with the Troy Bike Rescue, Honest Weight Food Coop, and environmental groups in New York State. Rachel also happens to be Susan’s daughter, which goes to show how truly close the relationships are, here at Unbridled.
BRIDGET HALLOWELL, Assistant Video/TV Editor & Media Coordinator. Bridget is the amazing organizer and assistant editor on all Unbridled TV projects. Her keen eye and sense of detail on the set has engaged her in camera work and directing as well. Bridget graduated from Bard College in May of 2011, where she studied Environmental Studies and Studio Arts. When she isn’t busy editing Unbridled projects, she enjoys creating her own videos, paintings, and sculptures. In her free time, she loves cooking, gardening, yoga, watching films, and listening to music.
MARIE FLOWERS, Media Relations. Marie communicates with all guests on the television and web-based shows, in addition to seeking out new guests and exciting stories to be featured in upcoming seasons. Also a Bard College student, Marie is expected to graduate in December of 2012, with a degree in psychology. Being forward-thinking, personable, and reliable are just a few of her unique qualities. Her interests include urban studies, animals, politics, and playing the trumpet. In the office, she plays an active role in keeping our sponsors and advertisers up-to-date on all things Unbridled.
MAY ANDERSON, Marketing Coordinator. May is an important asset to Unbridled as our marketing coordinator. May is currently a junior at Bard College, where she majors in psychology. She is currently in New Orleans volunteering over her winter break, where she will work with children in Bard’s TLS program. Whether she is answering the phones here at Unbridled or creating a spreadsheet for a new project, she is always very friendly and enthusiastic.
